Battle Creek's local dumpster company
Nextday Dumpsterco runs out of a yard at 923 E Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49014 — on E Michigan Ave on Battle Creek's east side, on the I-94 Business Loop, in Emmett Charter Township just outside the city limits. Battle Creek is not just a service area for us; it is home. The idea is simple: dumpster rental that is fast, affordable and plain. Clean, well-maintained roll-off containers. Flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees. A delivery window we tell you up front. A local person on the line, not a call center.
Calhoun County had 134,310 people at the 2020 Census, 52,721 of them in Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo County next door had 261,670. Homeowners call about garage and estate cleanouts, remodels, roofs and storm cleanup; property managers turn over rentals; contractors work new builds and renovations from Bellevue down to Union City and west to Kalamazoo and Portage. Knowing which of those a call is before the truck leaves the yard is most of the job — along with knowing that Battle Creek requires a City licence for anyone in the business of hauling other people's refuse (§ 1064.44), that Marshall wants a City permit for any dumpster of 20 yards or more, that Portage, Climax, Augusta and Union City tie household trash to one contractor, and that state highway right-of-way needs an MDOT permit.
Whatever you are clearing — a garage or a whole house, a job site, a yard full of storm limbs or a rental you want emptied — the container exists for it. Call (269) 292-6313 and describe it in a sentence.

What we haul

Pick your size
Weight and volume are separate limits. The material you are loading decides which one runs out first.

| 10 Yard Dumpster | about 14 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 3.5 ft high | about 3 pickup truck loads | 1–2 tons | Small kitchen and bathroom remodels, single-room and garage cleanouts, smaller roof tear-offs, and heavy material such as concrete, tile, asphalt, brick and rock. |
| 15 Yard Dumpster | about 16 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 4.5 ft high | about 4–5 pickup truck loads | 2–3 tons | Garage, attic and basement cleanouts, flooring and carpet removal, kitchen and bath remodels, small deck and fence removal, light roofing jobs, and yard waste and tree trimming. |
| 20 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 4.5 ft high | about 6 pickup truck loads | 3–4 tons | Kitchen and bath remodels, multi-room renovations, whole-home cleanouts, roofing, large landscaping jobs and light demolition. |

Why Battle Creek chooses us
Nextday Dumpsterco is locally owned and operated. The phone is answered by someone who knows the area — a tight drive on an older Battle Creek street, a job site off I-94, a village lot in Augusta or Climax.
Delivery, pickup, disposal, the rental period and the included weight explained up front. No hidden fees, no hidden fuel surcharges. If your load looks like it will go over, we say so before the truck leaves the yard.
Call before midday and we do everything possible to deliver the same day. If it has to be tomorrow, we tell you before you book.
Careful placement on flat, solid ground, with protective boards on request. If a tight drive, low wires or soft ground needs a different plan, we tell you before delivery.
Weight fills a container long before volume does. If a 10 yard is the honest answer for your shingles or concrete, that is what we will quote you.
Wind, ice and storms can bring down limbs and roofing in an afternoon. We tell you honestly when the container can be there, and the 15 and 20 yard sizes take most storm piles in one go.
Simple from start to finish
Most bookings take a few minutes.
One short conversation. We ask the address and the town — the rules follow the town the property is in — what you are clearing, whether a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard or a job site, what is going in, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.
We recommend the most cost-effective size, so you do not pay for space you will not use or call for another pickup, and you get a clear, flat-rate price that can cover delivery, pickup, disposal and the standard rental period of 3 to 7 days. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size. If your town restricts who may haul or wants a permit, we check its rules before booking.
The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on flat, solid ground rather than the lawn, with protective boards on request. Often same-day or next-day, when availability allows. You do not need to be home if the spot is marked and clear.
Keep everything below the top rim and keep the problem items out — paint, solvents and oils, fuel, liquids and hazardous chemicals, tires, batteries, gas cylinders and propane tanks, medical waste, asbestos, and fridges or A/C units that still hold refrigerant. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.
Call or message us when it is full or the job is done and we arrange prompt pickup. We work with local disposal and recycling facilities whenever possible, and materials such as metal, concrete and certain yard waste may be separated for recycling.

A two-minute call gets the size right, a straight answer on price and a delivery window.

Local knowledge
There is a difference between covering an area and knowing it. In Battle Creek, anyone in the business of collecting, transporting or disposing of other people's refuse in the City needs a City licence from the City Clerk (Codified Ordinances § 1064.44). The City's exclusive contract covers residential refuse only (§ 1064.43), businesses must use a hauler licensed by the City (§ 1064.09), and every construction or demolition site must have enough containers for its loose debris, with loose refuse containerized at the end of each day (§ 1064.17). On a Battle Creek street, the code bars placing any object in the street - which runs from property line to property line and takes in the lawn extension and the sidewalk - except temporary obstructions while things are moved to and from the property (§§ 1020.01, 1020.02(a)). The City's fee schedule lists right-of-way permits for lane and road closures and obstructions, and we found no City rule that names dumpsters. So the driveway comes first, and for a street spot we check the City's rules and the placement with you before booking. Some places tie household trash to one hauler. Portage gives a single contractor the neighborhood pickup of household trash, bulk waste and yard waste at homes of one to three units (§ 58-35); Climax allows no one but the Village's contractor to collect refuse in the village except as its solid waste chapter provides (§ 26-20), while leaving construction waste with the owner or contractor (§ 26-23(a)); Augusta says "All residents who need garbage and/or recycling service, are required to use the waste hauler contracted by the village" (Ord. 188); Union City's contractor is the only one allowed to provide residential refuse service (§ 52.05); and Marshall's contract is exclusive for residential refuse (§ 50.05), on top of a City permit for any dumpster of 20 yards or more. In Portage and Marshall we check the City's rules before booking, and in Climax, Augusta and Union City we check the Village's rules before booking. In Homer, Athens and Tekonsha we found no rule online, and we check with the Village before booking.
Our service area page lists every community we cover, grouped by area, and each has its own page covering access, local character and what that town's own rules say about containers in the street and who may haul.

Michigan bans certain things from landfills (MCL 324.11514), requires loads that cannot drop or escape (MCL 257.720), wants an MDOT permit for any non-travel use of state highway right-of-way, and EGLE wants ten working days' notice before most regulated demolitions. Every city page quotes its own sections.

Where we deliver
We run roll-off containers out of our yard on E Michigan Ave to every community below. Many orders go out same-day when availability allows; distance and timing decide the rest. We do not publish a price list. You get a flat-rate quote on the phone, depending on the dumpster size, the type of debris, the delivery location and the rental length, and it can include delivery, pickup and disposal with no hidden fees. If a load goes over the included weight, the container may be weighed and an overage fee applies, and we explain that in advance. Call (269) 292-6313 for an exact price.
In many areas around Battle Creek we offer same-day or next-day delivery, depending on availability. Call early in the day — before midday — for the best chance of same-day service. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but we do not promise night or Sunday drop-offs.
On a driveway or other private property, we found no City rule that names dumpsters. In the street, the City code bars objects in the street other than temporary obstructions while things are moved to and from the property, and the City lists right-of-way permits for lane and road closures and obstructions, so we check the City's rules and the placement with you before booking. Battle Creek also requires a City licence for anyone in the business of hauling other people's refuse (§ 1064.44). Other towns differ — Marshall wants a permit for any dumpster of 20 yards or more. The Battle Creek permit guide has the details.
Under our rules: paint, solvents and oils, fuel, liquids and hazardous chemicals, tires, batteries, gas cylinders and propane tanks, medical waste, asbestos, and fridges or A/C units that still hold refrigerant. Michigan law also bans more than a de minimis amount of yard waste and whole tires, and any used oil and lead-acid batteries, from landfills (MCL 324.11514). If you are unsure, call us before loading it.
We take precautions to help protect your property, and protective boards can go under the rails on request. If a surface worries you, you can also place plywood or boards under the contact points before delivery. Tell us when you book.
Think about the project's size and the debris: 10 to 15 yard dumpsters for small cleanups, roofing, concrete or dirt; a 20 yard for home remodels and landscaping; 30 to 40 yard for construction, demolition or large cleanouts. Count the job in pickup truck loads — about 3 for a 10 yard, up to about 12 for a 40. The size guide covers it; the phone call confirms it.
Battle Creek and 15 communities around it: Springfield, Marshall, Augusta, Climax and Bellevue; Galesburg, Richland, Kalamazoo, Portage and Vicksburg; and Albion, Homer, Tekonsha, Athens and Union City. Each has its own page with its own hauling and street rules.
Early. Same-day depends on availability, and a call before midday gives you the best chance. Where a town restricts who may haul or wants a permit, we check its rules before booking, which can take longer than a same-day window — Marshall allows up to 10 business days for a dumpster permit. If a regulated building is being demolished, EGLE wants notice ten working days ahead.
